The West Lake Hangzhou


West Lake is a good place for those interested in traveling to China. The lake is a freshwater lake in Hangzhou, China. Every year many foreign tourists come here to visit. The first name of West Lake was “Wu Forest River” (Walan Shui). The lake is divided into five sections by three causeways. The lake has numerous pagodas, temples, gardens, and artificial islands. The lake was included in 2011 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

West Lake has influenced poets and painters throughout Chinese history for its natural beauty and historical ruins. It is also one of the most important sources of inspiration for Chinese garden designers.

The West Lake Hangzhou

Traditionally, there are some well-known charming spots on the West Lake that each commemorates the four-letter epithet. These are Dawn on the Su Causeway in Spring, Curved Yard and Lotus Pool in Summer, Moon on the Peaceful Lake in Autumn, Remnant Snow on the Bridge in Winter, etc. Here are some more places to visit: Yue Fei Temple and Monument Hall, Lingyin Temple, Lingyin Temple and Monument Hall, Lingyin Temple, a Buddhist monastery and surrounding hills, Long Jing Tea Farms renowned for tea quality. The West Lake Museum is also located on the shore of the lake. So this lake can be a beautiful destination for travelers to China.
